'Puppy Love' by John Jackson |
While working at the café, Hal asks Tom to pick up after Leo with helping with his special routines. The two friends are interrupted by the arrival of Allison Larkin, a geeky young werewolf who has managed to track down Tom from footage leaked onto the internet by Cutler: a YouTube clip showing Tom and George transforming. Agreeing with Allison’s suspicion that someone is deliberately trying to expose werewolves, Tom agrees to help track down the culprit; as the two young werewolves begin investigating and training together, a relationship quickly blossoms... Meanwhile, in the waterfront premises of ‘Stoker Import and Exports’, Cutler receives an unwanted visit from U.K. Operations in the form of an overbearing vampire named Golda. The arrogant executive and her thugs have come to take over control of the district in preparation for the coming of the Old Ones, so when Tom and Allison turn to Cutler for help in their enquiries, the duplicitous vampire immediately sees a way of getting them to deal with Golda for him… Back at Honolulu Heights, Annie accidentally kills a cantankerous old neighbour named Emrys, mistaking him for an Old One when he was only complaining about baby Eve’s screaming; Annie now has no choice but to help the grumpy old man with his unfinished business so that he can finally cross over... Back at the café, an attractive girl named Alex shows an interest in Hal – and to the vampire’s horror, Tom and Allison arrange for a double date…
